Slashers Ladies make Leinster Intermediate Final

Slashers ladies made history on Saturday 4th December when the overcome the challenge of Shelmalier in the Leinster Intermediate semi final in Michael Fay park to reach their first Leinster final next weekend. This was a game that was very tight early on but the ladies got the upper hand when Jessica Barry goaled to send them in 1-04 to 0-03 at half time. An early 2nd goal from Lisa Nolan left them with a 2-06 to 0-03 lead and with some resolute defending for the rest of the game, ended up on a winning scoreline of 2-08 to 0-07. Next up is the Leinster final when they take on Dublin champions St. Sylvester's who overcame The Downs in the other semi final. This game is due to be played in Kinnegad next weekend.
