Longford Slashers ladies won their first Junior title with a 2-10 to 2-08 win over Colmcille on Saturday 16th September. In what was their 4th final in 5 years, they finally landed the title after a very tight game. Great credit is due to the whole squad who have stuck with it over the years and finally got their just desserts. This is still a very young team and hopefully there will be more titles to come over the next few years. Credit also to Seanie Meenaghan and his team of mentors for all the work they have done with the squad to land the title.
