Ladies Leinster Junior Championship Win

Published in Ladies Football, News

Our ladies squad took on St. Pauls from Emo (Laois) in the first round of the Leinster Junior championship away from home on Saturday last and after a great performance ended up winning convincingly in the end. This was bound to be a tough task away from home and despite hitting a number of wides early on, they took a grip of the game in the second quarter to lead 1-07 to 1-02 at half time. They continued their fine play throughout the second half and never really let St. Pauls into the game running out winners by 2-21 to 2-06 in the end. Similar to their recent Intermediate championship success, they were up for the game from the word go and proceeded to take the game to the opposition and in time made this tell on the scoreboard. This was another fine performance from the ladies with everyone playing their part in this fine win. Our next game in this competition is a home game in the Leinster quarter final against the Kildare or Louth winners on 13th of October.
