Our ladies team were in Leinster final action on Sunday last against the Dublin champions St. Sylvesters in Kinnegad but unfortunately came up against a stronger team on the day. The ladies started off well but Sylvesters then came into the game and a goal after the first water break set them up for a 1-05 to 0-05 lead at the half time break. At the second water break our ladies were still in touch losing on a 1-10 to 0-08 scoreline, but two goals and a few points in a dominant last quarter led Sylvesters to a 3-13 to 0-09 win. It was a massive achievement for this squad of girls and management to reach a Leinster final and we hope they can build on that in the coming years. A big thank you to all the supporters that travelled to the match and their very vocal support on the day. This was a very good year for this bunch of ladies and you did your club and county proud.
