Ladies Football Club notes – 9th June 2014

Published in Ladies Football, News

Our U12's were in semi final action on Monday night last against Ballymahon/Forgney and despite putting up a great show, came out on the wrong end of a 3-10 to 2-07 scoreline. They have put in a great effort since the start of the season to qualify and it is great credit to the girls and their mentors that they got so far. The U14 blues did not have a game this week while the whites played Carrickedmond and ended up getting a draw on a scoreline of 3-04 to 1-10. They have still a few more matches to come up in this league. We wish the U14 county squad in their upcoming All Ireland semi final. Our Ladies club are having a fundraiser table quiz in Milo's on Saturday night next June 14th at 9pm for the upcoming feile competition where they are representing the county for the second year in a row. Please support this good cause. The club along with the camogie club are holding an introduction to gaelic games on Saturday mornings from 12-1pm over the next couple of weeks to allow girls who want to try them out to do so in a fun environment. We encourage all young girls who would like to have a go to come up to the club grounds on Saturdays at 12pm. The new Slashers website will soon be up and running so if anyone has any photographs, game reports etc. that can be used on the website, please email them to padraigsmith13@eircom.net so that we can build up a history of the club.
