Ladies Football Club Notes – 25th June 2014

Published in Ladies Football, News

Our Blues U14 team were in the semi final of the championship last week against Young Grattens but unfortunately were narrowly defeated by a goal in the end. This was a very close encounter but a few injuries and missing some players meant that the girls were up against it. Well done to all who did their best on the day. A speedy recovery to Orla Nevin who sustained a nasty hand injury during the game. The Whites squad were up against Rathcline in a league game last week and lost on a 2-08 to 4-09 scoreline. Best of luck to our U14 panel who are representing their county in the National Feile competition next weekend. We hope you all have an enjoyable time. Our U16's are playing the championship semi final on Thursday evening against Mullineachta and we wish them the best of luck. We hope all the girls who completed the Junior and Leaving certs are looking forward to lots of football over the summer and training continues at the usual times. The new Slashers website will soon be up and running so if anyone has any photographs, game reports etc. that can be used on the website, please email them to padraigsmith13@eircom.net so that we can build up a history of the club.
