Hurling Feile Final this Sunday April 24th

There are some important local hurling fixtures taking place this weekend with the County Seniors taking on Fingal in Naomh Barróg on Saturday in the first round of the Nicky Rackard Cup. Meanwhile, on Sunday at 6pm the County Minors will face Lough Lene Gaels on their home patch in the Westmeath League Final. To get this far is a rare feat for any Longford side competing in our neighbours' leagues and a win would be remarkable. Best of luck to all involved, particularly to our nine players on the squad. Earlier on Sunday, our U14s lock horns once again with our biggest rivals, Wolfe Tones, for the right to represent the county in the national Feile Na nGael, this year taking place in Waterford/South Tipperary. Throw-in is at 12 noon in Pearse Park and support would be greatly appreciated.
