Hurling Club Notes September 13th 2016

Published in Hurling Club, News

Our seniors bowed out of the championship on Saturday against county champions, Wolfe Tones on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-8. Despite being depleted through, injury, suspension and absentees the team played with great vigour, particularly in defence, and posed plenty of problems throughout for the opposition. There has been a core of players who've made a big effort this season and the club wishes to pay tribute to those lads as well as all those involved in the team management. Our U14s were defeated by a strong Fr. Dalton's side in the Westmeath championship semifinal last Saturday week in Mullingar. This brings the curtain down on their rollercoaster season which began in the depths of February. Well done and thanks to all involved - players, management and parents.
