Well done to our U12s who competed in the Leinster Club Hurling 11-a-side blitz held in Abbottstown last Saturday. Playing against teams from Kildare, Kilkenny and Wexford the boys performed heroically to defeat Sallins (5-2 to 1-4) and Johnstown (1-5 to 2-1) before losing out to St. Patrick's of Wexford in the last game (2-1 to 0-6). Thanks to the parents who traveled to support the team. Congrats also to our seniors who had a big win in the Leitrim Hurling League against Carrick Hurling Club in Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday night. Despite conceding a few soft goals in the first half, the lads took control in the second half to leave no doubt as to where the spoils were going. Final score: Slashers 4-22 Carrick 4-5. They now face Tourlestrane in the next round in Slashers next Wednesday.
