Hurling Club Notes 9th March 2015

Published in Hurling Club, News

Our AGM is tomorrow (Tuesday) night in the clubhouse at 8pm. Anyone with an interest in the senior or underage teams this season please attend. Longford Slashers GAA will have its annual social night this Friday March 13th in the clubhouse at 9.30pm. To coincide with our reemergence at senior level, we would ask that this dance would be well supported by our hurling members. There will be a meal and a live band, JUNK DOG, as well as Minor Championship and Senior League medals presentations by legendary Waterford hurler, John Mullane. Tickets are €15 and can be obtained from Niall Ward. Our seniors have so far played three competitive games in the Connacht Táin League, winning our home fixture against Ballinamore and losing two games on the road to Galway opposition. If we can win our next match at home versus Tremane we will be back in the hunt for a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament. Our U14s have returned to training in preparation for the Feile competition and our U12s and U10s will resume next week. Contact 087 9344157 for details. New members and beginners welcome. Well done to the county hurlers on their opening league victory on Sunday against Leitrim.
