Best wishes to Slashers seniors on Sunday Our seniors step out onto the pitch in the first round of the championship in Edgewoorthtowm at 3.30pm on Sunday. The team has prepared very well and hard training has gone in over the winter so we wish the team the best on Sunday so that they bring all that effort to the game. This is a young Slashers team and they are really fine flag bearers for our club having given a very honest effort all year. The team is nicely balanced and our new young guns are full of running and pace. Players like Daniel Doherty, Cían Finnan, Líam Barry, Rónan Sheehan, Robbie Clarke and Daniel Kirby have been flying in training and they are ready to pounce. Our team is made up of real Slashers names and includes sets of brothers playing together like the Gillerans, Clarkes, Finnans, Smyths and Bradys so there will be little trouble in bonding in the team.
