Championship V Mostrim On a night when conditions were good Slashers managed a draw in this important championship round V Mostrim. Mostrim opened well with 4pts on the board before Slashers began to tick over. Slashers picked up a number of injuries early on with both Niall Mulligan and Paul Kelly coming off in the 1st half. Darren Flaherty and Andrew Kelly were called into action and both acquitted themselves very well with Andrew Kelly popping over an important point after coming on. Peter Brady was monumental in the back line and he commanded the position throughout to maintain that line at different stages of the game. Colin Smith scored three points with Seán Clarke and Trevor Clendenning also scoring to leave Slashers ahead by the minimum at the break. Mostrim scored an early goal at half time to add pressure on Slashers who really had to work hard to earn a draw in the end. The result brings Slashers into the next round of the championship with plenty of room for improvement.
