AGM The club AGM will take place at 8.30pm on Saturday 14 January 2017 in the club house and all members are cordially invited to attend and participate in this important annual meeting. Club chairman Dónal Brady will step down from his position after giving sterling service over the past 7 years and we look forward to welcoming in a new chairman in 2017. The club saw senior victory in the county championship during the term of Dónal in the chair and great work took place in the development of the game and the grounds. The club will also see Mícháel Walsh step aside as secretary and again it will be hard to replace the knowledge that Mícháel brought to that position over the past number of years holding the pen. The notification of fixtures, team sheets and players was always spot on while Mícháel Walsh was in charge and he has served the club well. The club will always only be as good as the membership and more importantly those willing to light a candle instead of cursing the dark so please join in for the AGM and allow your name go forward for one of the positions which will spread the load, níl neart le cur le chéile. Our club is privileged to have the very finest playing on our teams and these players should be encouraged and supported as they give so much in trying to achieve the highest in local competitions all year. The players are a source of pride in the club and they certainly entertained with some fine football all year. Club players have also reached the county teams at all levels and this is an honour for our club. Players who may have been abroad or away in recent years are invited to attend the AGM or join in the training that is being now set up by manager Eugene McCormack.
