County Hurling Final on Sunday
This Sunday is a red letter day for the club as our Seniors attempt to bridge a 16-year gap and finally reclaim the County title. Preparations have gone well and last Friday night the team qualified for the Leitrim League Final for the fourth year running when defeating Carrick-on-Shannon by ten points under lights in Annaduff. Facing them will be the reigning County Champions Wolfe Tones who overcame Clonguish by the narrowest of margins in the last round of the championship. Support on the day would be greatly appreciated by the players and management. Throw-in is at 3.30pm.
Not only are our Seniors in action but our U8s will feature during the half-time games while our U11s also play their County Final as a curtainraiser to the big game at 2pm. We have a fantastic record at this grade and another win would go nicely with our U12 and U14 Feile titles.
Hard luck to our U18s last Sunday in the Minor County Final against a strong and fancied Wolfe Tones side. We were down three crucial players before the game even started but fair play to all who played to the bitter end. Particular mention to Shane Maguire and Sean Creevy who were both outstanding.
