Massive congratulations to Micheál Mulcahy (GAA Hurling) and Orla Nevin (Ladies Football) who were honoured at the 2025 Longford Leader Sports Star of the Year Awards.

Micheál played a pivotal role in this year’s senior hurling campaign, consistently delivering crucial scores and performances as Longford Slashers captured the county title.


Also recognised was Orla Nevin, whose dynamic, tenacious defending was central to the Slashers Ladies’ remarkable achievement of securing seven consecutive county senior championships.
